Description
Since the 1960s, Klaus Koenig has been working as a sound engineer at Radio Studio Zürich and formed the legendary Jazz Live Trio with Peter Frei and Peter Schmidlin. In this formation, he accompanied world-famous soloists such as Johnny Griffin, Dexter Gordon, Clark Terry, Slide Hampton, and many more in over 100 live broadcasts. After a 15-year break due to illness and cautious beginnings, the Jazz Live Trio made its comeback in 2012 with new, young musicians. Speaking of celebration: this evening is dedicated to the 90th birthday of Klaus Koenig. Moods congratulates warmly! On this occasion, Klaus Koenig is performing twice: first with the Jazz Live Trio and afterwards with his quintet Seven Things. Just recently, in 2025, the last CD "Autumn Girl" by the Jazz Live Trio was released, and soon the next album "Songs without Words" will follow – and Klaus Koenig is far from thinking about stopping.
