Description
His parents want to pass on their life's work to him: a farm in France. But director Simon Baumann is not sure if he even wants to take on this inheritance. From this personal starting point, the filmmaker develops a clever, humorous, and surprisingly touching documentary about inheritance – material, emotional, and familial. Baumann travels through Switzerland and meets people confronted with very different forms of inheritance. The film was awarded Best Swiss Documentary 2025 and the Bern Film Prize 2025. An event as part of the special exhibition «Help, I'm Inheriting!» (28.8.2026–4.7.2027), Historical Museum Baden.
