Kim Wilde is definitely an icon of the 80s. Unlike many of her contemporaries, she is still internationally successful today. With the studio album "Closer" released in 2025, she also made it into the top 10 in Switzerland. With her eponymous tour and all the big hits, Kim Wilde is now coming to the festival "Der Herbst 26" in Brunnen. Songs like "Kids in America," "You Keep Me Hanging On," "Chequered Love," "View from a Bridge," or "Cambodia" are etched in the collective memory of several generations. This is also because the 80s experience a revival every few years, and many of the classics from that time are played on the radio and at parties on endless loops. "The songs from the 80s are perhaps even more popular today than back then," says Kim Wilde. Just like 40 years ago, Kim Wilde's brother Ricky is still the producer and also performs as a guitarist on stage.
