Dario Cologna was born in the canton of Graubünden and grew up in Val Müstair. He made his World Cup cross-country skiing debut in 2006 and quickly established himself among the world's elite. With four Olympic gold medals, four overall World Cup wins, and a world championship title, he is one of the most successful cross-country skiers in history. In total, he won 26 World Cup races and stood on the World Cup podium over 60 times. After the 2021/22 season, Dario Cologna ended his successful top-level sports career.
