So far, the funeral for Gernot Steinfels, who peacefully passed away at 94, patriarch of a medium-sized German company, could proceed in an orderly manner. Could ... The new prospective managing director, Horst Bohne (Timothy Peach), arranges the funeral for the company and orders, among other things, a funeral wreath with a funeral ribbon in the name of all employees. Horst Bohne doesn't realize what trouble this ribbon will cause him, as the text on it reads: "In deep mourning. Your employees." When his female employees see the ribbon just before the ceremony begins, they are extremely irritated. Why not "... and female employees"? Or Mitarbeiter_Innen or Mitarbeiter*innen? The grieving community – led by the future boss – quickly slips from one linguistic faux pas to another, leading to a micro-aggressive cultural debate about gender topics, sexism, and politically correct behavior. The pastor's attempts at reconciliation are in vain, and the company's management suddenly finds itself in a highly topical and pointed clash of opposites ... A biting satire in which a funeral becomes an explosive debate.
