Description

Once upon a time ... That's how stories that endure over time begin. The story of Kaguya-hime, a princess born in a shining bamboo, dates back to Japan in the 10th century. The little girl, taken in by an old bamboo cutter and his wife, grows up to be stunningly beautiful, causing suitors and the emperor to compete for her hand. But Kaguya-hime has other plans. On stage, Japanese dancer Ai Koyama, who has been part of the Compagnie Linga since 2007, embodies this celestial heroine in a performance where gesture, dance, and light create a dreamy and delicate image. A fairy tale about the freedom of choice, for young and old, who dream with open eyes.
