Young Talents in Helferei - Piano Evening: Javelyn Kryeziu

Description

The young pianist Javelyn Kryeziu invites you to a piano evening full of contrasts at the Kulturhaus Helferei, ranging from intimate lyricism to orchestral splendor. The program begins with Franz Schubert's delicate E-flat major sonata and bridges to virtuosic Romanticism through Franz Liszt's brilliant song transcriptions. After Liszt's lively Valse de bravoure, the late Romantic soul unfolds in Sergei Rachmaninoff's highly emotional and technically masterful 10 Preludes, op. 23. The intoxicating highlight of the evening is Maurice Ravel's La Valse in the rarely heard, breathtaking solo piano version – a wild, fascinating dance on the edge.
