Young Talents in the Helferei - Alps Quartet

Description

A high-caliber young ensemble invites you to a fascinating string quartet evening at the Kulturhaus Helferei. The program spans from Viennese Classicism to the present day: It begins with the passionate drama of Ludwig van Beethoven's C minor Quartet op. 18 No. 4, followed by Felix Mendelssohn's highly emotional A minor Quartet op. 13, strongly inspired by Beethoven's late work. After Antonín Dvořák's lyrical, profound final movement from the F minor Quartet and Franz Schubert's gripping, unfinished quartet movement in C minor, the ensemble sets a special accent in modernity: With Pascal Desarzens' contemporary work "Prendre le temps qui s’égraine," the musicians demonstrate how lively and versatile the king class of chamber music remains today.
