Anniversary Concert 25 Years Gospel Singers Wollishofen

Description

25 Years Gospel Singers Wollishofen – 3 Concerts – 2 Programs and 1 Special Guest The Gospel Singers Wollishofen have reason to celebrate. And they do so together with their audience at three extraordinary concerts. They are giving themselves and their guests a unique performance with Swiss rock & pop musician Marc Sway. Under the direction of Christer Løvold, they look back on highlights from the past 25 years and surprise with new songs that excite everyone. For 25 years, groovy gospel sounds have been echoing in Wollishofen, from classical spirituals, blues, country, bluegrass to world music and pop. For 25 years, the Gospel Singers Wollishofen have been delighting their audience with their concerts. For 25 years, the choir has been an integral part of the cultural life in district two. Enough reason for the around 50 singers to celebrate the anniversary of their choir community! And what could be more fitting than a concert series with top-class gospel music and a very special guest for the grand finale… Christer Løvold, the musical director and conductor, has put together a special program for this special year: gospel classics, worship songs, an African segment, and modern pop music. He challenges and promotes – the choir presents itself in all its musical facets. Sometimes soulful, sad, melancholic, then again fast-paced, rhythmically light, playful, joyful, and full of hope. All three concerts will also be accompanied and perfected this year by the Friends, all excellent musicians and soloists. For the third concert, the choir has invited Marc Sway. He will not only perform the choir's songs as a soloist; together they will perform hits by Sway. This program will surely captivate the music-loving audience. The atmospheric, lively, and goosebump-inducing performances will thrill the loyal audience. Since seats are limited, early ticket reservations are recommended. ____ Sunday, October 25, 2026, 5:00 PM and Saturday, October 31, 2026, 7:00 PM Kirche Auf der Egg, Auf der Egg 11, 8038 Zürich-Wollishofen Saturday, November 21, 2026, 7:00 PM Musikkirche Neumünster, Neumünsterstrasse 10, 8008 Zürich-Riesbach Participants: Gospel Singers Wollishofen
