The self-proclaimed heroes of minimalism have spared no expense or effort for the current season and have expanded the established quartet with two additional musicians. Contemplation still shows no mercy in their cheerful-contemplative, sometimes furious Christmas mash-up, where German Christmas tradition, rock, blues, soul, and jazz come together in a lively gathering. But with the added sounds of pedal steel guitar, tenor, and baritone saxophone, the delicate sides of the current program "Bergweihnacht auf hoher See" will also be stylishly and skillfully highlighted.
