With the Asep Stone Experience, an evening full of blues-rock, guitar power, and Jimi Hendrix spirit comes to Gaswerk. Asep Stone was born in 1968 in Bandung, Indonesia, and taught himself to play guitar as a child. At just 16 years old, he performed on stage in front of 20,000 people at the Gladiator Rocks Festival. Later, armed with nothing but a guitar, a small amplifier, and a few clothes, he moved to England, where he toured the kingdom with his band Stone Free. In 2001, Asep played alongside the original Hendrix bassist Noel Redding at a Jimi Hendrix auction. The concert was broadcast live on BBC. After the performance, Redding called him "the closest thing to Hendrix." Today, Asep Stone lives in Zurich and performs concerts with the Asep Stone Experience Show in Switzerland and on international stages.
