The award-winning solos of the International Solo Dance Theater Festival Stuttgart showcase the diversity of contemporary dance in its most concentrated form. In November 2026, the winners of the International Solo Dance Theater Festival Stuttgart will be guests at Tanzhaus Basel. The program combines outstanding solos recognized for their artistic quality, originality, and expressiveness. The anniversary edition marks thirty years of continuous support for young choreographers and dancers, highlighting new voices in contemporary dance. Works selected by an internationally composed jury tell stories of identity, transformation, and our present in very different ways. Dance theater encounters abstract choreography, personal signatures meet diverse aesthetic approaches. This creates a multifaceted insight into today's international dance scene—and a glimpse of the artists of tomorrow.
