In this setting, where nostalgia and classic masculine macho ideals are celebrated, a different reality becomes apparent upon closer inspection: fleeting touches, intimate glances, and secret meetings in the shadows of the arena reveal a hidden queer subculture. Efraín, who grew up in Penjamillo, guides us through this world, weaving together personal memories, Super-8 footage, and staged scenes. He introduces us to the cowboy Noé and the Jaripeo fan Joseph. The result is a series of intimate portraits of three lives shaped by traditions, desire, and questions of identity.
