Jan Hrubý and Friends (guest: Ondřej Fencl and Hromosvod)

Description

JAN HRUBÝ and FRIENDS (guest: Ondřej Fencl and Hromosvod) The legendary matador joins Ondřej Fencl's band. In a large band format, some of the greatest classics will be performed, which are hard to imagine without Hrubý's magical violin - Špejchar blues, Love is like an evening star, Funebráci, Sweet is to live, Astrolog, Yeti Blues, Touches, Big Jack, Music for the found harmonium... It is clear that the guest of the evening will also be Ondřej Fencl with his backing band and the album "The Dream of Insatiable Boys," which was recently chosen by journalists as album of the year. The connection with Jan Hrubý, with whom Fencl collaborates in several other formations (including with Vladimír Merta), is quite natural. Look forward to unfiltered lyrics full of internal rhymes and unusual turns, believable singing, two virtuosic violins, a Knopfler-esque guitar, and earthy rhythms that once adorned supergroups like B. S. P., Kollerband, or Krucipüsk. Violinist Hrubý and singer, keyboardist, and guitarist Fencl are accompanied by elite Czech sidemen - on electric guitar Vojtěch Jindra (among others, Bran), violin Hana K. Vyšínská (among others, Inflagranti), bass guitar Jan Neruda (among others, V. Martinová, Tribute to Z. Navarová, 5P...) and on drums Tomáš Marek (among others, Lucie, Kollerband, Petra Janů, Ilona Csáková)... Songs from the chronicle of Czech big beat by Vladimír Mišík, Michal Prokop, or Vladimír Merta will be performed, instrumentals reminiscent of Scotland and Ireland, as well as original works by the forty-four-year-old Ondřej Fencl, also known from 5P Luboš Pospíšil, the recent formation Marsyas, from Schodiště, and Poetry Evenings with actress Kristýna Ryška, etc. All this with brilliant violins in the foreground. The indestructible Hrubý has celebrated 77, but on stage, he is still a boy!
