An energetic musical cocktail that blends world music, classical music, jazz, and blues performed by the excellently coordinated duo of accordionist Jakub Jedlinský and violinist Pavel Fischer with substantial support from guitarist Norbi Kovács. The duo of accordionist Jakub Jedlinský and violinist Pavel Fischer effortlessly transcends musical genre boundaries, bringing an original fusion of folklore, classical music, and jazz. Their unique musical synergy creates captivating world music drawing from Moravian, Balkan, Jewish, Irish, and Romani influences, rhythmically and sonically diverse, sometimes calm, other times joyful or dramatically exciting. The concert will feature their fresh studio album titled 300 vlaků (Galen Publishing), significantly contributed to by guitarist Norbi Kovács, who will also be a guest at the Pardubice concert. Pavel Fischer is a violinist and professor of violin at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and also teaches at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. After completing his studies, he co-founded and led the renowned Škampa Quartet, with which he regularly performed on the most significant stages worldwide. Accordionist, bandoneonist, and educator Jakub Jedlinský, currently active at the Pardubice Conservatory, is among the leading Czech accordionists. He is part of the Escualo Quintet, focusing on the phenomenon of Argentine tango and the music of Astor Piazzolla, or in the band Bardolino. Duo Jedlinský – Fischer often performs with violinist and singer Iva Bittová. Guitarist and composer Norbi Kovács hails from the Slovak-Hungarian border but has lived in Prague since the early 90s. He has played with artists such as Petr Skoumal, Radůza, and Mario Bihári. Currently, he plays in the bands Ivan Hlas Trio and Kybabu with Olin Nejezchleb and composes music for feature films and documentaries (e.g., U mě dobrý, Occam's Razor, Unbreakable, The Second Life of Jitka K.)Highlights
