Description

On the occasion of the opening of our new venue, we present 'Indien' by Alfred Dorfer and Josef Hader in the form of a scenic reading. Originally staged as a play in 2010, we are taking this nostalgic reading back 'on the road' with Kurt Fellner and Heinz Bösel. The two gastronomy inspectors of the state government are on a business trip through the village inns. Beneath the surface of masculinity, which is explored through conversations about eating, drinking, and the fair sex in the tavern, small tragedies of lonely men lurk. As death sneaks in at the end of the piece and the two try to cope with this dying — overly attentive, humorously provocative, yet humanly helpless — it grants the sleazy, roughly courtshiping contemporaries a fragile dignity and greatness.
