Arnold Schönberg Chamber Symphony No. 1 op. 9b Gabriel Venzago Moderation and Chief Conductor Lake Constance Philharmonic Arnold Schönberg's Chamber Symphony No. 1 opens the door to the so-called New Music and thus to a completely new way of listening. Suddenly, tones are no longer thought of only in familiar harmonies, but as independent individuals. A musical awakening that can also be read as a mirror of social changes: away from hierarchies, towards more equality and new structures. Chief Conductor Gabriel Venzago invites 'In between' to rediscover this work together. Without a classical stage, with musicians distributed in the room and the possibility to move among them, an immediate sound experience is created from ever-new perspectives. With exciting insights and personal moderation, barriers are broken down and new access is created – for music that is often considered challenging but is full of expressive power.
