London, 1872. The respectable gentlemen sit together at the Reform Club and agree: Around the world in 80 days – impossible. Phileas Fogg, an English gentleman with a stopwatch in his blood, counters: "I can do it." And bets 20,000 pounds on it. A fortune. The clock starts ticking from the moment he leaves his house. Fogg travels with his new servant Passepartout – and with everything the world in 1872 has to offer for transportation: steamboat, train, carriage, even on the back of an elephant. Oceans, jungles, deserts, big city. They rescue a woman from a cruel ritual, get caught in storms, narrowly miss connections. To make matters worse, a detective is on their trail, who thinks Fogg is a bank robber and wants to arrest him. The question at the end is not who sees the world first. But who is back in time.
