The latest national forest inventory published in 2025 confirms it: the effects of climate change are becoming increasingly visible in our forests and pose a major challenge for the coming decades. Temperatures and precipitation are changing rapidly, both in terms of average values and extreme phenomena – while forests need time to regenerate. In this presentation, we will review the main impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems, and then discuss possible adaptation strategies.
