Description
This workshop for adults combines mindfulness, slow looking, and drawing. The focus is not on prior knowledge or a perfect result, but on consciously experiencing the process and personal encounter with a work of art. After a calm warm-up in the studio with breath awareness and simple drawing exercises, the group dedicates itself in the exhibition to a selected work: Walter Wörns "Weekend" from 1959/60. Through slow observation and guided image meditation, colors, shapes, moods, and inner reactions are perceived more consciously. In the subsequent drawing part, small studies and free artistic responses to the work are created. It is not about exact replication, but about capturing impressions and personal perceptions in lines, traces, and shapes. Our workshop leader Mariska van Gelder-Buyle will guide you through the event. Mariska van Gelder-Buyle is a freelance artist and exhibition guide at Forum Würth Rorschach.
