II. Paul Juon Chamber Music Competition

Description

The national Paul Juon Chamber Music Competition took place for the first time in 2023. The prize-winning ensembles of this competition are included in the concert management of the Förderkreis Kammermusik Schweiz for 3 years. Since 2023, around 70 performances of the winning ensembles have already been financially supported. In the public competition, in collaboration with the Paul Juon Society and the Förderkreis Kammermusik Schweiz, the ensembles perform a work by Paul Juon and two other works of their choice. An internationally renowned jury selects three winning ensembles for the prizewinner concert and for inclusion in the concert management.

General Information

The Paul Juon Chamber Music Competition took place for the first time in 2023 and is held every three years. The best ensembles perform works by Paul Juon as well as their own pieces, selected by an international jury. The event takes place at the Kunsthalle Appenzell.
