Computer programs Word, Excel, and Outlook are now indispensable in everyday office work. Mastering them allows for efficient work. The ICDL Base course (*formerly ECDL Base) teaches and certifies basic skills in these computer applications. Learn to professionally design Word documents, perform complex calculations with Excel, and create visual charts. You can manage your files in a well-structured way and use email and calendar professionally. You know how to utilize the internet and its possibilities, and you can protect yourself from online dangers. * ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is now known as ICDL (International Certificate of Digital Literacy). Content The ICDL Base course is divided into four modules: -Computer Basics -Online Basics -Word Basics -Excel Basics The course includes 64 lessons and lasts approximately four months. Requirements -You have basic PC skills and good German language skills. If you have little or no prior experience with computers, we recommend the preparatory seminar Computerwissen Kompakt. -Unsure which offer suits you? With our Placement Test, find the right seminar for your knowledge level. -You have access to a PC with Windows 10 or 11 and an internet connection. -You need access to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (version Office 2016 or newer). If you do not have access to the Office programs, we can provide one upon request during the course. Learning objectives -You know how to create a clear folder structure and manage documents efficiently. -You are aware of online dangers, use search engines, and create favorites bars. -You can send and receive emails and configure email settings. -You use the calendar for appointments and meetings. -You master the main functions in Word for professional text formatting. -You create calculations and are familiar with the various functions and formulas in Excel. Target group -You have some computer experience and want to use Windows efficiently and productively. -You want to use Office programs Word, Excel, and Outlook professionally in your workday. -You want to learn how to search for information on the internet efficiently and securely. Note -Online teaching: You have a computer/laptop with Windows 11, installed Word, Excel, and Outlook Classic (version Office 2016 or newer), and a stable internet connection. Your device should also be equipped with a microphone and a camera. Computers/laptops with a large screen are ideal. -We recommend using a private device, as business devices may have restrictions. -Participation with a MacBook, iPad/tablet is not possible.
