The Pop Seasons concert series is a collaboration between popup booking and the Ottensen church community. Hotel Rimini – 10.12.2026 | 20:00 | Pop Seasons
String-heavy indie pop with poetic lyrics, a wide-ranging instrumentation, and influences from jazz, chanson, and classical music. The musical roots of the Leipzig band HOTEL RIMINI can be described as extensively branched even without botanical expertise. Their different habitats unite the six band members into a unique sound cosmos. The lyrics by singer Julius Forster deal with lonely self-promoters, missed opportunities, overcoming the past in public transport, or failing against the brutalities of everyday life. Their albums "Allein unter Möbeln" (2023) and "Gefährdete Arten" (2025) received waves of enthusiasm from audiences and critics and led them on extensive tours through the German-speaking region. Recently, the six Riminis have come together on the outskirts of Leipzig to work on their third album (release in fall 2027) – now they are touring with new songs & visiting us at Pop Seasons!
