Description
This excursion takes you to the typical karst area of Ebni south of Laufenburg, where you'll learn about the formation of the landscape, processes of karstification, and cave development. Participants will discover features like sinkholes and a stream swallow, guided by a professional geologist and landscape guide. The highlight is visiting a tectonic cave, accessible with a headlamp and helmet, offering an inside look into the mountain's depths. The event includes a short walk from the train station to the starting point, with a picnic at the cave entrance. Suitable for children aged 6 and above, the tour proceeds in small groups and is suitable for all weather conditions except extreme wind.

Held at Laufenburg, Switzerland. Meeting point at Waldhütte Ebni at 10:30 AM, with a 2.5 km walk from the train station. No tickets sold on Eventfrog; registration required by April 15, 2026, or November 3, 2026. Bring headlamp, helmet, sturdy shoes, weatherproof clothing, and lunch. The tour covers 3 km with 120 meters elevation change, suitable for those with good footing.
