About the play:
"Hin und Her" takes place on a river that separates two countries. In the encounters on the bridge between the customs stations from this side to the other, themes such as belonging, homelessness, love crossing borders, and human responsibility are humorously portrayed. At the center of this farce is the druggist Havlicek: after his bankruptcy, he is expelled from one country and cannot enter the other. This text, written around 1933, surprisingly shows a lot of relevance today. About the production:
A Kasperlitheater?!? The dialect adaptation of the play combines the means of acting and hand puppet theater. It thus explores the human in the farcical and the farcical in the human. The eleven-member ensemble invites the audience playfully and atmospherically into Horváth's world of words and thoughts.
