Description
The Institute for New Social Plastic presents a newly assembled program of music from the Jewish world. With this, Shlomi Moto Wagner and Tayfun Guttstadt take their audience on a wide journey: from Central Europe through the Balkans and Anatolia to the Middle East. They present songs in Yiddish, Ladino, Turkish, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic in their own arrangements with guitar, ney, ukulele, and lavta. Join this musical journey through many languages, melodies, and traditions! Shlomi Moto Wagner, born in Israel and living in Berlin, is an interdisciplinary artist and trained opera singer who merges queer pop culture with classical music tradition. Tayfun Guttstadt's background lies in Turkish, Ottoman, and Sephardic music with a strong focus on shared cultural heritage.
