Description

After extensive renovation, the contemporary, inclusive and multimedia exhibition on the initiator of the International Red Cross was successfully opened in August 2024.

The new core exhibition follows Dunant through his eventful life in four themed rooms. It also opens up problematic chapters of his life and builds bridges to the here and now.

The new contemporary wing highlights urgent contemporary issues with temporary installations - for example with the video work Fridu by Sarah Hugentobler. In the film room, an unusual film project focuses on today. A film loop of short films from different genres will be presented. The essay and portrait films will be made especially for the Museum Henry Dunant by directors from different regions of the world.

The museum team looks forward to welcoming you every day. Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.

General Information

The Henry Dunant Museum in Heiden, Switzerland, has reopened after renovation with a modern, multimedia exhibition dedicated to the founder of the International Red Cross.
