Description
A fairy tale, three chairs, eight instruments.
Two children, a witch, and her gingerbread house. All the famous ingredients of the story are there. But see what the Collectif Ubique does to delight you with this theatrical and musical journey to revive the famous Brothers Grimm recipe: theorbo, lute, musical saw, violin, clarinet, percussion, sung and chanted texts. The trio of actor-musicians switch hats and instruments every second to offer us a poetic and crazy show, blending compositions and original texts.
The Collectif was born in 2012 from the meeting of three artists and their intrinsic artistic worlds: theatre, instrumental and vocal music. Over nearly ten years, they have created three original adaptations of famous tales, radically revisited: Hansel and Gretel (2012), Sleeping Beauty (2017), and The Little Mermaid (2021). Over time, they have expanded their writing and sound universe, diversified their instrumental techniques according to dramaturgical needs, and strengthened a staging approach that has become their signature: three chairs facing the audience. Out of respect for the artists and other spectators, we reserve the right to refuse entry to latecomers and children who do not respect the indicated age, without refund or exchange. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
