Hanging of the Barsch

Description

The Barsch, a famous fish from Lake Neuchâtel, has been the emblem of the Estavayer-le-Lac Carnival for over 30 years. A few days before the festivities begin, the Barsch is hung after a torch relay. It will be burned at the end of the parade, but for now, it is hung up, celebrated, and preparations are made for the Fasnacht.
