Dance for Peace
The Hamburg Chamber Ballet was founded in summer 2022 by Edvin Revazov, a celebrated first soloist at Hamburg Ballet, together with Isabelle Rohlfs – a heartfelt project for community, solidarity, and unity. Since then, it has offered displaced young dancers from Ukraine a new artistic home in Hamburg. In May 2025, the ballet debuted in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie and was enthusiastically celebrated by audiences and the press. "Rightly deserved ovations for an evening where everything was right in content, dance, and human connection," praised Hamburger Abendblatt. For the grand Beethoven anniversary in 2027, dancers from Ukraine, together with pianist Sophie Pacini, will present the world premiere of their new joint project for peace, titled "Beethoven." Audiences can look forward to another moving ballet evening full of passion and emotion: Dance for Peace! The German-Italian pianist Sophie Pacini is one of the most outstanding young artists of our time. Awarded the ECHO Classic in 2015, she regularly performs with renowned orchestras such as the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, the Salzburg Camerata, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. She has a particularly close connection to the most significant pianist of our time, Martha Argerich. After several celebrated concerts, Sophie Pacini is now once again a guest at the Elbphilharmonie. CAST
