The St. Chrischona Nursing Home cordially invites you to a public information series in August and October 2026. How to lead a good life in old age? What medical challenges can arise in later life? And when is the right time to enter a nursing home? These and other questions are at the center of the two information evenings. The goal is to provide senior citizens, their relatives, and all interested parties with well-founded insights into geriatric medicine, support services, and daily care in the home. Care in Old Age – Support Options and the Path to a Nursing Home
Speaker: Karin Gäumann Felix, Nursing Specialist and Adult Educator
Karin Gäumann Felix, a former head of nursing services, knows the challenges and needs of relatives from personal experience. Using practical examples, she demonstrates support and relief options in caring for the elderly. Together with the participants, she explores when entering a nursing home can be meaningful and what aspects need to be considered in this often difficult decision. Additionally, Kay Ryll, Quality Responsible for Nursing at the St. Chrischona Nursing Home, introduces the facility's offerings. Apéro
During the apéro, you will have the opportunity to speak personally with the speakers, as well as the home director, Mr. Kämpfer, and the head of nursing and care, Ms. Lomazzo.
