Description

With experts from ProSpecieRara, visitors embark on a journey to almost forgotten vegetable and plant varieties. The approximately 3,300 square meter kitchen garden and pleasure garden at Wildegg Castle invites you to smell and marvel.

In collaboration with ProSpecieRara, old and rare varieties such as the purple artichoke, the sugar root and the bunk onion are cultivated here. In the historic vegetable cellar of the baroque garden, the last owner of the castle, Julie von Effinger, talks about her garden. While her view is nostalgic, the contemporary gardener discusses the challenges of everyday life.
