Groove Your Labour

Groove Your Labour is an open workshop inviting participants to explore the rhythms and movements of their daily work life — no dance experience required. The workshop is open to everyone and is aimed at people who want to connect their everyday life with movement and groove through their body. It begins with a physical warm-up that activates the body and builds a shared energy. Then, it explores how gestures from everyday life can be translated into movement. Through repetition, rhythm, and breath, a shared groove emerges, rooted in lived experience. The workshop also includes exchange with workers, creating a dialogue between different bodies, professions, and experiences, where work is felt, shared, and transformed into movement. The workshop is connected to the dance project Undeclared Work (premiere in December 2026), developed by Eman Hussein in collaboration with dancers Domenico Doronzo and Kalil Bat, musician Marquis McGee, dramaturg Nedjma Hadj Benchelabi, and set designer Malin Speicher.
