Description
78-year-old Elisabeth Gärtner has lost her will to live and wishes for assisted death — although she is perfectly healthy. Dr. Brandt, the physician, refuses to give her the lethal dose of sodium pentobarbital. In a fictional ethics council, legal, medical, and theological experts debate whether physician-assisted suicide is ethically and legally justifiable for a healthy person. In the end, the audience also votes: Should Gärtner receive the drug? The event is part of the «endlich. menschlich.» festival. After the performance, there will be a moderated panel discussion with UND Generationentandem. Featuring: Heidi Maria Glössner, Kurt Grünenfelder, Manuel Herwig, Marco Luca Castelli, Nikolaus Schmid, Rebecca Indermaur, Tonia Maria Zindel, Vera Bommer
