Gidio Pants kick

Description

On Ash Wednesday, Gidio Hosestoss is laid out as a straw puppet on a float and led to his funeral in a carnival procession. The mourning bereaved, including his mother Eulalia Fadehäx, née Chuefödle, sit on ladder wagons with huge masked heads and wipe their eyes with grief. Events of the year are often depicted on other floats. Two of the older pupils give a humorous farewell sermon as the Gidio pastor and Mesmer, glossing over school events and village squabbles. The funeral march starts at 14:05.
The planned route is:
Schuhhaus - Arcolor - Hirschenkreuzung - Auerhof - Scheidweg - Hirschenkreuzung - Blumer Techno Fernster - Schulhaus. The gidio sermon is then read out by the gidio priestess. This is followed by the ranking of the themed floats.
