Description
To the delight of the numerous spectators standing on Schönengrundstrasse near Blumer Techno Fenster, individual farmers drive to the show in the traditional Alpine fashion, i. e. in the tried and tested order of the Alpabzug and in the appropriate traditional costume of yellow pants with a red breast cloth or the extra-Rhoden workday costume. Everyone enters the area under a wooden triumphal arch decorated with fir branches, flowers and ribbons. The cattle are tethered to long poles according to predetermined categories. The judging panel, consisting of experienced farmers, now begins its work. They judge the animals according to their beauty and performance and rank them in the correct order.
