Sport moves us: Whether we are active ourselves, cheering as spectators, or getting annoyed about it. But who exactly is 'we'? Who has access to sports? Who is forgotten or excluded? On the occasion of the 2025 European Football Championship, the Women's City Tour Basel and the FC Basel 1893 Museum are joining forces to shed light on historical and current questions about sport, gender, and inclusion. We accompany women in their fight for their place on the football field and, together with female mountaineers, overcome not only mountains but also prejudices. Explore with us how bodies have been categorized and what effects this still has today in parasports or gender testing. Discover with us how society and sport shape each other.

General Information

The tour takes place in Basel and highlights historical as well as current questions about sport, gender, and social participation. It is organized by the Women's City Tour Basel in collaboration with the FC Basel 1893 Museum.
