She was an evangelical pastor, dominant, wore pumps with her cassock, and has forgotten her own child in a supermarket before. Now she is dying, and the entrenched relationship patterns are beginning to falter. How does forgiveness work when time is pressing? A conversation about difficult mother-daughter relationships and the ambivalence of saying goodbye – in life and in the face of death. How do authors from different generations view the big questions, and how do their novels tell of this transition? Participants and additional information: KATJA FRÜH (*1953 in Zurich) is a screenwriter and director. She has staged for the theater and produced for Swiss television, including the series "Lüthi & Blanc." Since 2014, she has been writing a regular column for "Das Magazin" of the Tages-Anzeiger. "Vielleicht ist die Liebe so" is her first novel. MARIE-LOUISE MONRAD MØLLER (*1986 in Odense) holds a doctorate in art history. She also studied screenwriting at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München and literary writing in Hildesheim and Biel. "Viel wichtiger ist jetzt die Gegenwart" is her debut novel. It was awarded the NDR Book of the Month. JULIA RÜEGGER (*1994 in Basel) studied literary writing, theater, and philosophy in Hildesheim, Biel, and Madrid. She writes poetry, essays, and prose. Her poetry debut "einsamkeit ist eine ortsbezeichnung" was published in 2023.
