Generationen im Rhythmus Oberländer Vielharmoniker und Kindersinfonieorchester

Description

STUBETE – «Generationen im Rhythmus» on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, in the hall of the Hirschen restaurant in Hinwil. True to their tradition, the Oberländer Vielharmoniker, conducted by Thomas Eckert, invite a children's music group to their Stubete again this year.
This time, it is the children's symphony orchestra MZO, conducted by Käthi Lauber. Together, they will present lively music from film, dance, and operetta.
In addition to well-known melodies from famous films of past years, there will also be much new to discover. The children's symphony orchestra was founded in 1983 by conductor Käthi Schmid Lauber on a private basis and has been led by her ever since. Since 2009, it has been integrated into the MZO (Music Schools of Zurich Oberland). The children are usually between 7 and 14 years old. The younger ones are allowed to be led by the older ones first and thus grow playfully into their roles. Käthi Lauber considers it more important that music is portrayed vividly and played energetically than that every note is hit correctly and the bow is changed at the same time. This is how she can inspire the children and young people. The youth orchestra has already won several prizes at the jury audition at the international youth music festival in Belgium.
Similar to the Vielharmoniker, a wide variety of instruments and styles find a place in their orchestra. Accordingly, the scores of the performed music pieces are arranged by the two orchestra leaders to suit the current orchestra composition.
What unites the two orchestras is above all the joy of making music. Cheerful and colorful entertainment awaits you at the Stubete on Friday evening, Nov. 6, from 6 PM. And the Hirschen staff will also take care of the growling stomach.
