Description

**So, so, so and also so!**
Accompanied by music, a room full of drawers opens. Small, large, long and short – everything seems to be in perfect order, everything sorted, everything in place. The three performers arrange and dismantle, load and unload themselves, stumble and collapse. What begins as a game soon becomes serious and makes it increasingly clear: "I won't be put in a drawer so easily, because I am so, so, so and also so." The dance and musical journey playfully deals with prejudices and seeks new orders that dissolve the drawer thinking. The play is barrier-free. The little language used is simple language. In addition, multilingualism in the team was used for the play: German, Turkish, Italian, French, Arabic. Individual sequences of the play are signed by the performers in German sign language. A professional audio description was developed by Charlotte Arens and Lenka Löhmann. In connection with drawer thinking, prejudices and discrimination, there was advice during the rehearsal process by Seda Keskinkılıç-Brück. At Theater Chur, "Is that how it is?" will be performed as part of the Action Week against Racism 2027. **Who is Who**
Companie M is a collective of artists in the fields of dance, theater, object theater, music and performance. With a focus on work in Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar area, the artist group creates professional theater for children, especially for the very young. Companie M was founded in 2018 by theater maker Miriam Lemdjadi and puppeteer Myriam Rossbach, and since then the team is newly formed for each project. Companie M performs its pieces at regional, national and international festivals, in theaters, daycares and public spaces. Companie M is a member of Assitej Germany, the international association of theater for children and youth.

"Is that how it is?" is a dance and musical play that deals with prejudices and drawer thinking. The performance takes place at Theater Chur and is designed to be barrier-free to appeal to a wide audience.
