Description
Henry Dunant spent the last 18 years of his life in Heiden, where he died in 1910. In memory of the Red Cross initiator, a celebration is held on his death anniversary at Dunantplatz. The museum welcomes the National Councilor Gerhard Pfister as the guest speaker at this year's celebration. As a member of the Parliamentary Group Red Cross and Vice President of the Foreign Political Commission of the National Council, he advocates for greater Swiss engagement in international law. The event begins with the ringing of the Peace Bell in front of the museum, followed by a torchlight march to Dunantplatz. Afterwards, soup and bread will be served at the Kursaal, prepared by ÖRK Hard, along with musical entertainment. The museum is open until 6:00 PM. More details on our homepage.
