Description

What did the monastery garden look like 500 years ago and what has remained of it? Garden director René Neiger from the Pflegimuri takes us on a journey through the garden history of the former Benedictine order. At the same time, the German professor Leonhart Fuchs wrote a book with 400 plant portraits. One copy of it can be seen in the Museum for Medical-Historical Books, which has been housed in the monastery rooms for ten years. Museum director Beatrice Green offers an exclusive insight into this epochal work as part of this tour.
