Already in prehistoric times, Ebersberg was an important point for the defense of the region. Since 1938, however, the largest fortress in the Canton of Zurich has been located beneath the surface of the earth, which was only declassified in 2003. On this tour, through the only fortress in the Canton of Zurich, you can take a look into the newly restored two-story accommodation block and the combat positions. Note: Good footwear and warm clothing are recommended for this tour. The facility maintains a constant temperature of 10°C.
