This event features a diverse selection of songs by and for women from Finland, Georgia, Italy, Mexico, and South Africa, creating a space for women's voices and their fight for self-determination. The program includes the world premiere of Jean-François Michel's choral suite 'The Zurich Petitioners 1868,' which sheds light on a lesser-known chapter of Zurich's history, focusing on women's demands for justice, education, and suffrage in 1868. Performers include clarinetist Marcel Lüscher, accordionist Sven Angelo Mindeci, percussionist Marcello Mosca, and narrator Liliana Heimberg, under the direction of Franziska Welti.
