Description

800 years after the creation of the Canticle of the Sun by Saint Francis of Assisi, his message still speaks to young generations. This intercultural workshop invites children, families, and schools to rediscover this significant piece of Italian literature through art, music, and creativity. The Canticle of the Sun is a poetic hymn to the beauty of creation and the connection between humans and nature. In a time when environmental awareness, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence are becoming increasingly important, his words gain new relevance. The project includes two events: a German-language morning event for school classes and an Italian-language afternoon event for children and families with Italian-German backgrounds. Scenic readings, creative tasks, videos, music, and illustrations bring the message of Saint Francis to life and make it tangible. - For Italian-speaking children/families (event conducted in Italian)
