FOREVER YOUNG – Rock’n‘ Roll until the endA musical comedy about life, the final curtain, and the greatest hits of all time. We write the year 2045. The once lively theater has long been closed – at least officially. Because behind the scenes, a quirky age-wg has taken up residence: seven former stage stars, now elderly but by no means tamed. Where applause once thundered, they now sit on dusty prop furniture, recalling past premieres and legendary performances – and live musically once again. What was meant to be a quiet retirement turns out to be a spirited rock show with retro charm and rebellious wit. Although the split is no longer quite as smooth and the vibrato slightly shaky – the fighting spirit remains unbroken. Supported by a large dose of slapstick, quirky humor, and lots of heart, the ensemble defies aging with a repertoire that is unmatched: from "I Love Rock’n’Roll" to "Forever Young" to "Born To Be Wild." If only there weren’t the elderly caregiver, who with pedagogical zeal encourages clapping along to children's songs and causes the only dissonance with sentimental songs about aging and transience. But as soon as she leaves the room, the rock’n’roll gang takes over again. Whether "I Will Survive," "Mir mag halt niemer öppis gunne," or international pop anthems: the gray panthers give the classics a new depth – rough, funny, moving. In a wild mix of music, dance, comedy, and theatricality, they celebrate life – including clattering dentures, offbeat rhythm, and lots of energy.
