Description
BEAUTIFUL AND PROUD – discovered in Munich
Toggenburg Houses – photographed around 1910
Recently, the farmer Stefan Näf (Guggenloch) happened upon a collection of old photos of Toggenburg houses, taken around 1910–1920, which he purchased from a seller in Munich. He intends to donate the originals to the Albert Edelmann Foundation – reason enough to present the photo collection to the public as part of this year's special exhibition.
Discover these houses anew! Do these houses still exist? In which village are they located? What has changed? Or perhaps you will discover a house whose location is still unknown to us.
How dignified these houses once looked out into the world and still do today remains deeply impressive. They embody history, both personal and that of Toggenburg.
Walk the streets of Toggenburg as it was a hundred years ago!
