Description
How can we live together: in an apartment, in a society, on Earth, with other living beings with different languages? We are all influenced by those around us – and often they do not behave as we would like. Even inside our bodies, we are not alone: billions of gut bacteria live there and digest the world with us. Are they pets or roommates? What are the power relations here? Three characters try to arrange themselves on stage. Initially friendly and distant, then fiercely intertwined, they fall into an excessive whirl of conversation between man-eating cats, dearly loved compost worms, and personality-changing stool transplants. The inside turns outward, childishness shifts into global politics and back again. Quick exchanges of words meet poetic monologues, a pile of earth falls from the ceiling: with fine wit, sometimes light, sometimes contemplative, and sometimes brutal. An instruction for world peace is hardly to be found here. But with unconditional dedication, the three continue talking to each other – past each other. Until it is time to eat again. Accessibility:
Spoken languages are Swiss German, German, English, and Bulgarian, they flow organically into each other. But even those who only understand German never lose the thread through physicality, repetitions, and theatrical images.
The piece, despite its non-linear plot, is accessible due to its humor, proximity to the audience, and everyday language – suitable for people with little theater experience as well as for teenagers from 12 years old. Featuring: Sophie Kirsch, Mila Lyutskanova, Moritz Praxmarer
Dramaturgical support: Lea Goebel, Georg Klüver-Pfandtner
