Description

FKJ 27.10.2026 X-TRA Zürich - Only Swiss show - The successful French multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer FKJ returns with his new single «Soulmates» and simultaneously announces his third studio album «Tyber», set to be released in the fall, as well as an extensive headliner tour across Europe and Asia, with further dates to be announced in the coming months. "With «Soulmates», it's about embracing loneliness," says FKJ. "For me, loneliness works really well, and I take time for myself. But my soulmates, the people in my life who are important to me, mean a lot. It's about finding the right balance." As an artist whose work moves between timeless musicality and a love of experimentation, FKJ has created a unique musical world where the boundaries between jazz, soul, classical, hip-hop, funk, rock, and electronic influences blur. His music continues to appeal to a global audience, attracted by both its technical sophistication and intimate atmosphere. «Soulmates» offers a first glimpse into «Tyber» – a project capturing a phase of personal and creative transformation following the release of his acclaimed album «V I N C E N T». The album, written and recorded across multiple continents, reflects years of engagement with movement, loneliness, collaboration, and renewal. The sessions took place in London, Los Angeles, Paris, Brazil, and Mexico, each location subtly shaping the album's sonic identity. The result is FKJ in his most expansive and uninhibited form. On «Tyber», groovy compositions sit alongside jazz-oriented instrumental pieces, sample-heavy experiments, and more direct songwriting moments, seamlessly moving through funk, alt-pop, R&B, and psychedelic textures without losing cohesion. The album feels deeply personal yet globally influenced, spotlighting an artist documenting his development in real time. The new single «Soulmates» embodies this spirit. Warm, engaging, and rhythmically flowing, the track underscores FKJ's instinctive approach to composition and provides a natural entry into the wider world of «Tyber». It is music rooted equally in technical musicality and emotional immediacy – a balance that has become a central part of his appeal. The upcoming album also features a wide range of guest musicians, including Lucy Park, Baby Rose, Bas, Eryn Allen Kane, and Labrinth, further emphasizing the diversity of influences and perspectives woven into the project. Throughout his career, FKJ has gained broad recognition for redefining the boundaries of contemporary French electronic music. Often regarded as a pioneer of the New-French-House movement, he has developed a distinctive style based on live instrumentation, improvisation, looping, and layered production. His French heritage remains a defining thread throughout his work, even as his music continues to draw inspiration from cultures and communities worldwide. Outside the studio, FKJ has built a loyal international fanbase, gained over 2.5 million YouTube subscribers, and become known for the immersive visual and musical experience of his live performances. His upcoming headliner tour across Europe and Asia marks the beginning of a new chapter, bringing the world of «Tyber» to audiences through dynamic, free-flowing performances that have become synonymous with his name.
