Description
At First Pages – First Voices, aspiring authors open their writing workshops. They present unpublished texts from novels, non-fiction, essays, poetry, and other book projects – directly, personally, and close to that special moment when an idea gradually becomes a book and a writing person becomes a distinctive voice. This workshop reading invites you to experience books not just as finished products, but in the midst of their creation. What paths and detours lie behind a text? What changes during editing? How does one find the right form for a story, an experience, or a theme? And what is needed to continue working on a book, even when not everything is yet clear? The audience is invited to think along and ask questions. Perhaps you will already meet the books and voices at this evening, which will be heard much more of soon. Details about the readers will be published here shortly. Participating artist: Friederike Kunath
